ABOUT ME


I am currently a Senior Application Support Analyst working in the finance sector with very strong experience of optimising databases and their code for Microsoft SQL, SYBASE and MySQL.


Some of my other achivements in the last few years was creating the overnight maintenance, database indexing and stats rebuilds,backup, transaction log backups, End of Day and post End of Day processes into a single scheduled process with fail safes that trigger call outs if there is a problem it can not resolve itself.


I have also been interested in 3D modeling using 3D Studio Max and Fusion 360. With this I have created various models, landscapes and also 3D prints.


I am now looking for the next step in my career.

Close Brothers – Senior Applications Support Analyst

December 2017 - Present

In this role I am responsible for supporting two core and several smaller systems.

One of the great achivements whilst at Close Brothers was migrating one of the core systems from AS400 with ASP to SQL Server with Java & JavaScript.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew – Developer & Scrum Master

April 2012 - December 2017

In this role I line managed and educated seven placement students. I was responsible for supporting and developing a portfolio of over 50 separate applications, websites and databases. The role was made upof 70% Applications Developer for Science and Horticulture Systems and 30% Scrum Master for a team of four.

My Main achivement whilst at Kew was delivering a MariaDB database for the PAFTOL project. This included an access front end that supported the teams processes.

Legal& General – Contact Centre Resource Team Leader

March 2010 - April 2012

Scheduling for over 100 call centre agents cover, holiday and training to ensure that the Contact Centre had the resource to answer over 97% of incoming calls. Building reports for managers providing a clear picture of the performance and any issues that may have or could occur. I improved department performance by creating software using VBA in Excel that allowed each agent to see their performance, creating scripts to run reporting and redesigning the SharePoint system.
